How to register?
You register in one place: the Onderwijs Transparant parent portal, via the link on this website. So you don't need to visit every school separately.
The registration period has started
You can now register your child at a primary school in the Westland.

Registering your child takes a few steps. Below we explain how it works.
Step 1: Explore schools
Visit schools and make a list of preferences. See the "How do I choose a school?" page for tips.
The municipality of Westland also sends a letter around the moment your child turns 2.5. The letter informs you about the procedure, but you do not need it to be able to register.

Check the "When to register?" page to see in which period you can register your child. You cannot register your child before the start date of the period.
Step 3: Open the registration link on the first day
On the first day of your registration period you will receive a personal email with the registration link to the Onderwijs Transparant parent portal. Open this link to start the registration. You create a parent account there once.
Onderwijs Transparant is a national website that school boards across the Netherlands use to arrange primary school registration; Westland uses this website for all affiliated schools together.

✓A list of preferred schools where you want to register your child
✓Whether your child needs extra support
Step 4: Enter three preferred schools
In the registration form you list three schools in order of preference. Your first-choice school gets priority in placement. A second and third preference ensure your child still gets a place if the first school is full.
Step 5: Confirm your registration
Check your details and confirm the registration. You will receive a confirmation by email. Within one week after the registration period closes you will hear about the placement.

Made a mistake? Contact your first-choice school by email. They can release the registration within the registration period, so you can fill in the form again. After the registration period closes, changes are no longer possible.
