How we work

SBO De Diamant is a school for special primary education in Naaldwijk, located on the Sint Martinusstraat. The school offers pupils who need extra support a safe place to learn and to be themselves. Based on the core values of individuality, being loved, enjoying learning and doing it together, the team works every day on the development of each child.

SBO De Diamant, part of PCPO Westland, focuses on children for whom regular primary education is no longer suitable. At the location on the Sint Martinusstraat in Naaldwijk, a team of specialised teachers works from four guiding principles: every child may make their own mark, every child is loved, learning may be fun, and we do it together. These principles give direction to both the way of teaching and the atmosphere in the classroom, where structure and personal attention go hand in hand. The small scale of the location makes it possible to really match what a child needs, both academically and socially-emotionally. Parents who know the school describe its impact aptly: you would actually wish this school for every child. De Diamant is thereby part of PCPO Westland, a foundation with fifteen schools in the Westland region and Midden-Delfland. Registration goes through SPOW, the central registration point for special (primary) education in the region.
