Basisschool Rehoboth

How we work

De Rehoboth is a primary school in a green environment in the Opstal neighbourhood in Naaldwijk. On the green-blue schoolyard, divided into three playgrounds for the lower, middle and upper school, there is ample room to move and discover. The school is there for families looking for a small-scale, safe place where every child may be themselves.

De Rehoboth is a Christian primary school, part of the PCPO Westland foundation. The name Rehoboth means room: room for every child to develop in their own way, regardless of the family's beliefs.

The school works from four guiding principles:

• Enjoyment in learning, with attention for talents through cooperative and inquiry-based learning, working with Chromebooks and movement-based learning.
• You are loved, in which safety, recognition and social-emotional development (with the Kwink method) are central.
• We do it together, with strong cooperation between school and parents, including helping with creative activities, thinking along on school policy and in parent conversations about their child's development.
• Find your unique print, the personal learning route per child, with extra support where needed via the Klimopgroep, a child coach and tutoring.

A safe atmosphere prevails at the school. To create this safe, pleasant learning environment, we emphasise how we treat each other, make friendships and accept and respect each other's differences.
