How we work

Herman Broerenschool, Westland location, is a school for special education with branches in Naaldwijk and Monster. The school offers education to pupils who need guidance in the area of (severe) learning difficulties, divided over the SO-ZMLK, VSO-ZMLK and OZG departments, with small classes and consistent guidance per group.

Herman Broerenschool, Westland location, provides special education from two locations: Naaldwijk (Verhagenplein) and Monster (Rijnweg). Both locations offer education to pupils within the SO-ZMLK (special education), VSO-ZMLK (secondary special education) and OZG (education-care groups) departments.

The school works with small classes in which each group has a consistent teacher and consistent teaching assistance, so pupils receive the targeted guidance they need. This setup makes it possible to properly tailor the education to the individual development and pace of each child.

The Westland location falls under the Herman Broeren Foundation and works with a location director and team leaders per department, who manage the daily operations at both branches.
