How we work
De Wegwijzer in 's-Gravenzande is an open Christian primary school, where the following core values are central: respect + trust + enjoyment = growth. The school assumes that children develop best when these three elements come together: respectful interaction between pupils and teachers, mutual trust, and enjoyment in the learning process itself.
The children who come to De Wegwijzer differ in talents, development, abilities and needs. Education is tailored as much as possible to what the child needs to take the next developmental step. Safety, enjoyment and wellbeing in a positive Christian environment come first!
De Wegwijzer can rely on an enthusiastic, motivated and pleasant team, offering a varied range of education, with an eye for the specific educational needs of every child. The challenge is for children to develop and for their talents to become visible. That means looking beyond the child's measurable results.
The development of self-confidence, creativity, perseverance, independence and curiosity is held in high regard at this school. Pupils are challenged to explore the world in an inquiring and discovering way.
The school communicates actively with parents about news and developments, and offers an extensive school guide via its website with practical information for (prospective) parents.
