De Kameleon, locatie Heenweg

How we work

De Kameleon, Wide Neighbourhood School location Heenweg is an open, small-scale location. This location has a pleasant atmosphere where all children and teachers know each other well and feel safe to grow and develop. Among other things, combination groups are used, with the educational needs of pupils and the group central.

The school lives up to its name and is therefore colourful. That means our education is versatile, radiates creativity and is literally and figuratively in motion. Children learn and discover in a safe and challenging environment. We do this from a Christian identity. We give children a feeling of 'you are welcome here' and teach them to treat each other with respect. Our motto is 'Everyone a top performance!'. As a school we make sure children develop at their own level. There is a lot of expertise and specialism within our team, partly thanks to the cooperation with the main location on Eikenlaan in 's-Gravenzande. We also work with education support staff who offer extra support both within and outside the group. Cooperation between child, parents and school forms the basis for growth and development. Cooperation in the classroom is also an important part. Children learn from and with each other. When they enjoy learning, they develop every day. At the end of primary school, we hope our pupils can look back on a pleasant school time. We encourage them to keep developing independently and under their own responsibility, to think critically and to make a positive contribution to society.
