How we work
OBS de Driekleur Montessori is located in 's-Gravenzande and works according to Montessori education, in which children mainly discover and learn for themselves. The school offers structured freedom: children choose their own work and pace, while teachers guide rather than direct. This way, every child grows towards independence and self-confidence in their own way.
At OBS de Driekleur Montessori, the philosophy of Maria Montessori is central: children learn best by doing and discovering for themselves. The learning environment is arranged so that children work with real, tangible learning materials and make their own choices about what to work on, within a clear structure that the teacher safeguards.
The school emphasises that a child uses everything they find around them to learn, and that the teacher's role is to help children become themselves and relate to others. Playful and discovery-based learning goes alongside individual guidance, so every child can develop their own learning style.
The Montessori location is one of the three locations of OBS de Driekleur in Westland, with its own team and its own atmosphere that fits this educational vision: calm, structured and focused on independence.
