How we work

De Blinkerd is located in Monster and is a modern, warm and dynamic Christian primary school. The school works from three pillars: recognition, curiosity and building together. There is a lot of attention for the wellbeing of every child, with thematic and inquiry-based education for broad development.

De Blinkerd describes itself as a modern, warm and dynamic school where personal attention comes first. The education is built around three pillars. (Re)cognition: every child is seen and recognised from respect and trust. Curious: learning happens thematically, through discovery and together with others. Building: school and parents work together on the development of every child in all areas.

The school places emphasis on personalised education, where instruction is tailored to the needs of the individual child. There is attention for 21st-century skills alongside the regular curriculum. The photos on the website show a practical, activating atmosphere: children cook together in their own school kitchen and learn by doing.

De Blinkerd is part of the PCPOW foundation and has a team led by principal Lisette Wouters. New parents can visit the school through an introductory meeting before enrolling their child.
