When to register?
You register your child in the registration year in which they turn 3. That year runs from 1 October to 30 September, and then repeats in the same rhythm.

The registration period has started
You can now register your child at a primary school in the Westland.
Go to the Onderwijs Transparant parent portalClick the button to continue to Onderwijs Transparant, the official registration system.
Westland has four fixed registration periods per year. Your child's date of birth determines in which period you register. See below which period applies to your child.
Registering in the year your child turns 3
The quarter in which your child turns 3 determines your registration period. Below you see the four fixed periods and when they are open.
Tips for registering on time
Enter your child's date of birth above and you will immediately see your registration period. Then set an email reminder so you don't miss anything.
Does it matter when I register within the period?
No. It does not affect your chance of placement whether you register on the first or the last day of the period. Just make sure you register your child before the registration period ends.
Registered too late?
Too late? You can still register your child in the next registration period, provided the date of birth still falls within the registration year. Is your child already 4? Then contact your preferred school directly.
