Special situations
Not every family goes through registration in the same way. Moving house, a mid-year switch or extra support: below is what applies in each case.

Sometimes registration works differently than usual. Below you find information about common special situations.
My child is already 4
Is your child already 4 and haven't you registered via the central procedure yet? Then contact your preferred school directly. They will help you further with registration and enrolment.
Multiples (twins, triplets)
Do you have multiples? You register your children separately. When registering, you indicate that the child is part of a multiple birth. The school links them together within the procedure.
Moving to Westland
Are you moving to Westland and is your child younger than 4? Then you can register your child in the next registration period that matches the date of birth. Is your child already 4 or older? Then contact your preferred school.
Moving within Westland
Want to change schools because of a move? Contact the coordinator via contact@schoolstartwestland.nl. The coordinator will help you further with the options.
Extra support
Does your child need extra support? Think of a language delay, a physical disability or behavioural issues. Indicate this on the registration form. Your first-choice school will then invite you for a conversation to see whether the school can offer the right support.
The school gets four extra weeks for this. If the school cannot offer the support, it will help you find a school that can.
Language class and pre-school education
Does your child need extra support learning Dutch? Westland has primary schools with a language class and schools that offer pre-school education (VVE). Here extra attention is given to language.
Can't figure it out? Contact the coordinator via contact@schoolstartwestland.nl. We're happy to help.
